This workshop examines how digital constitutionalism is developing across European and East Asian legal orders. While the concept has gained significant traction in European scholarship, constitutional responses to platform governance, AI regulation, and digital rights protection are also taking shape in Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and beyond. The workshop brings together scholars from both regions to present updates from their respective legal orders, identify shared challenges and points of tension, and explore possibilities for sustained cross-regional dialogue.
