We provided a legal opinion for a digital service provider on the European regulatory framework applicable to data centers, with a particular focus on data governance, environmental compliance, and critical infrastructure management. Special attention was given to the challenges within the European Economic Area (EEA). The analysis included an assessment of the impact of key European regulations—such as the Data Act, Digital Services Act, AI Act, and cybersecurity regulations—on the client’s operations and compliance obligations. The legal opinion provided strategic recommendations for adapting operational models to new regulatory standards and outlined a compliance approach that balances technological innovation with regulatory requirements.
