Giulia Gentile

Giulia Gentile is an academic expert in AI law, digital regulation, and EU law. She is a qualified lawyer registered with the Italian Bar Association and has gained professional experience at the Court of Justice of the European Union (Luxembourg) and Clifford Chance (Milan).

She has co-edited four volumes and published over 30 contributions in prestigious journals and collective works.

Her academic work has been cited by courts such as the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and the Slovenian Constitutional Court, influencing policy development and debates in institutions including: The UK Parliament; The European Commission; The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission; The European Central Bank; The German Parliament.

She was also part of the EDPB stakeholder group on AI models and was invited as a member of the UNESCO Advisory Committee for the adoption of guidelines on AI and justice. Additionally, she has co-authored two reports for the European Commission on e-voting and the rights of persons with disabilities.
