Giovanni De Gregorio

Senior Academic Advisor, AI Governance, Data Protection and AI ACT implementation

 

He holds the PLMJ Chair in Law and Technology at the Católica Global School of Law and the Católica Lisbon School of Law. His work combines academic research with consultancy on human rights, freedom of expression, privacy, and data protection.

He published his monograph “Digital Constitutionalism in Europe. Reframing Rights and Powers in the Algorithmic Society” with Cambridge University Press (CUP), addressing the core issues of regulating the algorithmic society.

Giovanni has also received several major academic awards, including the ICON Prize 2022 for the best article published in the International Journal of Constitutional Law, the Common Market Law Review Prize for the best research article in 2021, and the Euroconsumer “My Data is Mine” award for the best article in 2021.
